What to do?

The grasses (along with other plants) that we use in the Northeast are able to survive and withstand winters, but have a very difficult time with hotter conditions. No amount of water or fertilizer can change the fact that it is 90+ degrees, so the grass naturally suffers. This can be incredibly frustrating at times, but it is critical to understand that this is an unavoidable natural phenomenon.

The only reason we are not able to use more durable, heat tolerant plants is that they cannot survive our cold winters. Otherwise, we would have switched over long ago, thereby insuring nice green carpets year round.
