Integrated Pest Management (IPM) has been around since people first started to realize that pesticides can pose unintended hazards. In essence, an IPM approach is one where all non-chemical means of management are explored first, and pesticides are only incorporated where non-chemical approaches will not have the correct effect.
At Teed & Brown we incorporate core aeration, organic fertilizers, new grass seed cultivars, pH balancing limestone, and other approaches to strengthen the lawn naturally so it will survive future seasons better, and with fewer chemical additions. In addition, we put great efforts into educating our clients so unintended problems can be avoided if possible.
